Tounament Rules (inspired in Challenge Space Yard Tournament rules)
- This tournament is available to premium members and no premium members with, al least, a 6 monts old account at vgaplanets.nu.
-
Players could choose until 3 races, and they use 3 independent tournament slots.
- For example: player1-race1; player1-race3, player1-race5, player2-race2, player2-race4, player2-race6. A player could loose a serie with a race, but still be on with the other 2 races.
- A player-race combo can not be changed. You always play with the same race untill get eliminated or win ;-)
-
Each pairing will play a best of 3 games, with the winner advancing to the next round. The only exception towards this rule is the final and semi finals rounds, which requires a best of 5 games instead in order to declare a winner.
-
First round each player play their selected race. For example:
- player1-race3 vs player 2-race6
-
Second round, each player play the race of his opponent:
- player1-race6 vs player2-race3
-
If a third round is necessary, players choose same races than round 1:
- player1-race3 vs player 2-race6
-
First round each player play their selected race. For example:

Playing timetable
- Players are ordered by, at first, their ranking at vgaplanets.nu and, second, the inscription time.
-
Pairing assignments for the low ranking level will be close in a week. Meanwhile, players could signup at vgaplanets forum topic.
-
Every week, a new rank signup process will be closed.
- That means you can sigup for a Liutenant ranked race, for example, 3 weeks after this tournament has started ;-) But a Ensign race can not.
-
Every week, a new rank signup process will be closed.
- I'll publish a calendar with the ending inscription times.
-
Inferior ranked player-race combos play and eliminate oppenents untill there are the same player-race slots than their upper rank player-ranked slots. Then, a new rank level begin to fight. The paring combats will have a player-race from a lower rank with a player-rank from the upper race (that has been waiting, without combat untill then). And so on...
-
If their are more players from a lower race than from a upper race, but the nomber don't double them, last inscribed players play an extra round to feed the exact number
- For example, if I have 4 Engins and 12 Midshipman, first round only 6 Midshipman survice, and the supplementary round would be necessary, between last 4 Midshipman to eliminate 2 more. Then, only 4 Midshipman survive, than play against the 4 Ensigns. Difficult to understand? Maybe my poor English skills... But doesn't matter, sign up and I guide you ;-)
- Thant means an upper ranked slot, for exampla a Captain, will start the tournament when it will be advanced, and previos lower ranked have win several combats. Why? To avoid very experimented and high skilled players "too easy" games and to let less skilled players play with similar skilled players ;-) But, at last, a Midshipman ranked race/player could meet any other player and win the tournament :-p
-
If their are more players from a lower race than from a upper race, but the nomber don't double them, last inscribed players play an extra round to feed the exact number
- If two tournament slots of the same player should combat in the same game, I'll redistribute them to avoid it ;-)
- First combats start from now!!! As soon as we have first 2 Midshipman player-race combos ;-)
- Players may agree upon who hosts each series (or a fraction thereof). Players must disclose the IDs of each game or they may be disqualified for lack of contact. If necessary, both players will be disqualified and the player in another pairing that would be fighting the winner of the offending pairing will be granted a bye into the round after.
- Starting with Round 3, any deviations from the typical everyday schedule must be approved by Calbasi.
- If in the event there is a problem setting up the game(s), Calbasi must be contacted by the players involved in the offending pairing(s). If he receives incomplete contact in any pairing, he will disqualify the players that did not contact him.
- Players are advised that there are still massive meteors in games. If a player's homeworld struck with the massive meteor loses the game, then that game's outcome may be nullified by the loser's request.
